SEGMENTED BALL VALVE
Segmented ball valves easily control aggressive fluid slurries and work in environments requiring high durability.
Segmented ball valves, also called V-port valves, are quarter-turn valves made to control fluid flow through a pipeline. They have a ball with a V-shaped notch that allows for proper flow regulation and high capacity.
As a leading segmented ball valves manufacturer, MASCOT builds valves for demanding applications, featuring a rugged design to tackle challenges in harsh processes and fluids with solid particles and fibrous/unclean services. The VFlo provides accurate and reliable control and very high rangeability, making it ideal for chemical processing and oil & gas applications.
The valve’s installation options simplify setup, accommodating different piping configurations easily.
By choosing the MASCOT’s segment ball control valve, you invest in a solution that improves performance, efficiency, and peace of mind
Features
- Flex-Lock Seal Technology: The VFlo segmented ball valve features a flex-lock sealing energized by the pressure drop across the valve for bubble-tight shutoff in both flow directions with soft seat. Even the metal seal achieves a much better shut-off than the standard FCI 70-2 Class IV allowed rates.
- Single Piece Body: Assured performance irrespective of flange torque load. The seal tightness remains unaltered by piping forces unlike many competing two-piece body designs. Also eliminates a leak path by eliminating a body joint.
- Segmented V-Notch Ball: The V shaped ball ensures shear action which helps keep the sealing surface clean especially in fibrous or highly viscous fluid mediums and the “V” shaped orifice helps achieve an exceptional 300:1 range-ability.
- Retainer Design: The thick-walled retainer extends valve life in erosive services. The design also eliminates shim seals by utilizing two O-Rings housed on the retainer which makes servicing and installation easier.
- Higher Shell Thickness: For up to 12” size the valve boasts a shell thickness that exceeds 600# rating even for the 150# and 300# rated valves which enhances the overall service life of the valve greatly.
- High Degree of Interchangeability: The actuator and several internal soft parts are interchangeable with the MASCOT DiskFlo product range.
- Anti-Blowout Shaft: The shaft is so designed that it is protected from blowout for all sizes. Also, the actuator need not be removed in order to replace the ball or shaft for 3” and higher valves.
